A combined arts programme for young people aged 8-19yrs (upto 25yrs for those with additional needs) focusing on raising awareness of the Bajan (Barbadian) culture and its links to England. A variety of activities will be provided throughout the month that will focus on recreating and performing the Barbados Landship. Activities will include Landship dance workshops, making a Maypole, Tuk music workshops, costume making and many more.
The theme of the month being Black History with a specific focus on people who have shaped our lives and culture. Activities will focus on a variety of people past and present to increase understanding and awareness of the impact they have had as well as developing skills around these topical areas for young people attending

The Way Youth Zone is open:
Senior Sessions (13yrs+) :- 4pm – 10pm, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Junior Sessions (8-12yrs): Tuesday and Wednesday :- 4pm – 9pm Saturday :- 10am – 2pm
To attend sessions at The Way Youth Zone young people will need to registered as members. Our membership fee is £5, paid once per and then only 50p every time you come after that!
